MST Can Help!

Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is a treatment service designed to help teens become more successful in their homes, schools, jobs, friendships and communities. The goal of MST is to keep teens and families safe and to help them work through challenges together, achieving the goals they set.

MST meets with the teen and family weekly, at times convenient for them. MST also provides telehealth so teens and families can continue to connect in the comfort of their own homes. Therapists work with 4-6 families at a time, so availability to families is top priority. On-call support is available each day, evening and weekend.

Adelphoi offers MST in the following counties: Adams, Armstrong, Blair, Bedford, Cambria, Columbia, Cumberland, Fayette, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Huntington, Indiana, Juniata, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Somerset, Union, Washington, Westmoreland, and York Counties.

Referrals can be made by caregivers, schools, probation officers, caseworkers, and providers. MST is managed-care and county-funded.

  • A Grateful Mom

I just wanted to express my sincerest gratitude for what you do! I have had many come and go and I have had some good intended experiences, but you’re different. You’re exact. You’re Authentic…You are making a true difference in our family and we all value what you do and who you are for us! Thank you!

  • Mom of Family Receiving MST

I’m very happy with our MST Therapist. Everything is going good. I haven’t had hope before. Now I have hope

  • Family Receiving MST

Our MST Therapist can see how overwhelmed I am and he is able to help me prioritize myself and he puts things in ways I can understand. He can read my facial expressions pretty good. I really like the use of FITs (MST assessment tools to prioritize next steps towards goals) and I even showed that to other providers. I really like that he meets with our county agency so that everyone can be on the same page.

  • Mom of Family Receiving MST

The main thing I like about MST is the authentic investment… MST feels like it is actually designed on what our needs are and not a blanket curriculum. It is intense, but in a positive way. It is authentic and honest.

  • Washington County Caseworker

MST taught and practiced different ways to communicate, specific to each family members personality and trauma-related experiences. The therapist worked with the family on cognitive thought processes, perspective-taking, parenting approaches, strengthening routines, expectations, and responses. The family was able to build skills through MST in a way that can be manageable, rewarding, and long-lasting. We are so proud of the entire family and the work they put in to meet their goals!
