Adelphoi Ketterer Charter School
Ketterer Charter School offers educational opportunities designed to address a youth’s specific individual needs. In additional to a daily academic schedule, youth have the opportunity to receive remedial support, credit recovery and career readiness programming.
Alternative Education is a temporary placement for students in grades 6-12 who have been removed from regular education due to disciplinary reasons that result in suspension or expulsion. The program offers group and individual counseling in addition to academic instruction to address reasons for placement in the program.
Behavior Support Program
The Behavior Support Program is a temporary placement to assist students in returning successfully to their home school. This program provides behavior counseling, social skills, and academic instruction for youth in grades 9-12.
The Day Treatment Program offers a therapeutic setting for those students charged with truancy, incorrigibility, or disruptive behavior in a traditional school environment. Day Treatment students participate in Adelphoi education programs located within the same building.
Emotional Support Program
The Emotional Support Program is a temporary placement to assist students in returning successfully to their home school. This program provides on-site therapy services by a licensed mental health professional on staff, and helps create an individual treatment plan tailored to the student’s treatment needs. Engagement with families and other service providers is an essential component to therapeutic services.
YES Dropout Prevention Program
The Your Educational Success (YES) Dropout Prevention Program assists students to recover credits in order to graduate with their cohort class. Districts using the YES program have seen a decrease in the number of reported dropouts and an increase in the number of students graduating with their class.
The After-School Program, located in Beaver County, offers a therapeutic setting for students who have legal charges and are either stepping down from a more secure setting or as a preventative measure from being placed outside the home.
Partial Hospitalization Program and Emotional Support
The Partial Program is designed to accept children who require a higher level of structure and support than traditional mental health outpatient treatment, but who are not showing the level of acuity that would necessitate mental health inpatient treatment. This allows the child to remain at home in their community while receiving mental health treatment and educational support. The Partial Program uses an interdisciplinary team approach to provide a well-balanced, effective treatment system. The goal of treatment is to help students replace negative coping skills with pro-social and more effective behavior so that they can return to a less restrictive environment.
