MASTER’S
MESSAGE
Dear Brother;
Happy autumnal equinox, my brothers! To those who couldn’t join us at
the September meeting, welcome back! We had a tremendous time putting
on the Fellow Craft degree in front of a good crowd on the sidelines.
The beauty of the Middle Chamber lecture never fails to impress me. To
those who we able to be at the degree, thanks for your support and enthusiasm.
To all, onward!
I hope you can join us at Lodge this coming Tuesday. We’ll
have our usual meeting at the temple, take care of business, and then
adjourn to the Sqantum Association for good fellowship and exchange of
ideas. Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, I’ll give a short presentation
on the connection between Freemasonry and Medicine. Come on out and renew
the bonds that unite us all.
Autumn always invigorates me. The cool dry air always encourages me to
walk a little more quickly and I enjoy the maple trees as they put on
their yearly light show. The air and my thoughts seem clearer to me, and
I find it easier to concentrate on the important things in my life. Life
and Society have become so busy lately that I appreciate the opportunity
and desire to re-examine priorities and re-affirm commitments to ideas
and institutions of lasting values. Freemasonry is one such idea and institution.
It offers us an unparalleled opportunity to share a camaraderie that is
rare in our contemporary world. Share your rewarding experiences in Masonry
with your non-Masonic friends, and bring them to dinner some time. The
more like-minded men we have, the greater the synergy.
Charity never humiliated him who profited from it,
nor ever bound him by the chains of gratitude, since it was not to him
but to God that the gift was made.
