Fayette Community Services provides regular in-home support services to youth and their families in Fayette County. Youth referred to the program are adjudicated delinquent or have become involved with the Youth Commission program in their community. The average length of involvement in the program is 6 to 10 months.

Caseworkers develop an individual treatment plan for the youth and their family, while providing support in the form of education in parenting skills and communication. In addition, they provide individual counseling to youth enrolled, as well as transportation to drug and alcohol counseling, mental health counseling, or any support service deemed necessary to help the youth remain in their home environment.

Caseworkers may initiate involving youth in community resources, such as youth centers and sports programs, to help enhance self-esteem and structure leisure time. Caseworkers often assist parents in working with school officials, and meet with students and their teachers regularly in the school environment. Family counseling is provided, as the caseworker enables the family to maintain their child in the community and link them to appropriate services when needed.
